ABC’s “World News Tonight” and “CBS Evening News” failed to report on bombshell allegations made by two IRS whistleblowers regarding improper interference by DOJ, FBI, and IRS officials in the Hunter Biden investigation.

Rep. Jason Smith, R-Mo., Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, stated that the whistleblowers’ testimony reveals misconduct and government abuse at the IRS and FBI during the investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged tax crimes.

Smith said, “Whistleblowers describe how the Biden Justice Department intervened and overstepped in a campaign to protect the son of Joe Biden by delaying, divulging, and denying an ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged tax crimes.”

NewsBusters’ Kevin Tober noted that CBS News, while covering other stories like the missing Titanic submersible, frozen food recall, and FDA crackdown on flavored cigarettes, failed to report on the IRS whistleblowers’ allegations.

“NBC Nightly News” was the only network to cover the whistleblower claims. Anchor Lester Holt reported that the House committee released testimony in which two IRS whistleblowers accused the DOJ, FBI, and IRS superiors of improperly interfering with the Hunter Biden investigation. Correspondent Garrett Haake detailed that the agents alleged preferential treatment given to Hunter Biden and the blocking of efforts to charge more serious crimes.
