The University of Kentucky men’s basketball team had no trouble finding practice arrangements during their time in Canada.

Representing the United States at the 2023 GLOBL JAM showcase tournament, the team was fortunate to have one of their biggest fans, Canadian resident rapper Drake, offer his mansion as a practice facility and a place to stay.

Rapper Drake generously let the Wildcats use his Toronto home for practice and spend a day there.

Drake and John Calipari

Drake has long been a supporter of the Wildcats and even rapped about “rocking Kentucky blue” in his 2015 song “Scholarship.” In 2014, he famously air-balled a three-pointer during a warmup session with the team. Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, shares a friendship with John Calipari and extended the invitation to the team while he was on tour.

The team had a full practice at Drake’s basketball court, where he runs his own pick-up league.

After practice, they enjoyed some downtime by the pool, as captured in a video recorded by Calipari. The coach was seen wearing an October’s Very Own (OVO) polo, representing Drake’s record label, while Migos’ “Having Our Way,” featuring Drake, played in the background.
