armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is alleged to have handed off a “small bag of cocaine” on the day cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed. Special prosecutors have filed a motion to protect a witness and have added new details after Gutierrez-Reed’s drug charge. Along with involuntary manslaughter, she is now facing an evidence tampering charge. The prosecutors claim that Gutierrez-Reed transferred the cocaine in an attempt to avoid the collection of evidence related to the firearm used in the shooting. Gutierrez-Reed worked as the armorer on the set of when Alec Baldwin accidentally fired the gun, resulting in Hutchins’ death. Gutierrez-Reed’s lawyer, Jason Bowles, questions the latest filing and criticizes the lack of evidence. Baldwin, whose involuntary manslaughter charges were dropped, may still face new charges. He is also facing lawsuits from Mitchell and Hutchins’ family.
